Mr. Bellini is integral in the implementation of Aurora Capital’s premium finance program – from insurance carrier integration to assisting banks in implementing Aurora’s premium finance strategies. In addition, Mr. Bellini has founded and continues to be active in two software companies, since the mid 2000’s and has studied at both the undergraduate and graduate level at the University of San Diego.
Mr. Bellini is at home in San Diego and has lived in San Diego most of his life. He is a speaker for the Financial Planner’s Association, DOI educator and a CFP CE Board educator, teaching courses on Retaining Capital Through Premium Financing and Removing the Greed from Premium Financing – A Fee-Only Approach. Sharing his time between Southern California and Santa Barbara, Mr. Bellini enjoys boating, cup car racing, piloting and spending time with his wife and two young children
Joshua Tipton a dedicated Insurance professional for 13 years. He has an extensive back ground in sales, training, and team building. He takes a tremendous amount of pride in helping other insurance professionals take their careers to the next level, by expanding their skill set and access to a growing life insurance market. As the Chief Distribution Officer for Aurora Capital, Joshua assists banking institutions, insurance carriers, insurance marketing organization, brokerage general agencies and independent advisors in successfully implementing advanced life insurance premium financing arrangements. He is a San Diego native and currently resides in San Diego.
Derek C. Smith, CPA
Derek is a practicing CPA and Managing Director of Edgewater Tax Group, Inc; a tax & accounting firm headquartered in Carmel, IN specializing in individual and business tax, accounting, & consulting matters. Edgewater services clients primarily in Indiana and Southern California, but also reaches Illinois, Florida, and Colorado. In addition, Derek serves on Emerging Leaders Alliance board for the Indiana CPA Society, is a member of the Board of Directors for an agricultural manufacturing company, and is very active in the community as he has coordinated several volunteer projects to help improve the community, serve those in need, and to give back to the community. He enjoys spending time with his fiancée Michelle & their pooch Cambi, is a Saint Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and is always up for a round of golf!
Brian May is a dedicated professional with over 20 years experience in solution consulting, business development, finance and insurance at Tektronix, Arthur Andersen, Intel and Summit Life Equity. He graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science, Business Finance Law degree. As a Senior Account Executive for Aurora Capital, Brian assists insurance marketing organizations, brokerage general agencies and independent advisors in successfully implementing advanced life insurance premium financing arrangements. He is a California native and currently resides in Redding. Brian loves spending time in the outdoors with his amazing wife and their three children.
Jay Is a consummate professional with over 30 years in the sales and marketing business in insurance and investments holding positions at AG Edwards, Wells Fargo, Prudential and Merrill Lynch. Jay graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Master’s Degree in Education from Goucher College. Jay also has credits toward an MBA in marketing from Johns Hopkins University.
As a Senior Account Executive at Aurora Capital Jay is almost exclusively involved in sourcing new Premium Finance business for the firm. Speaking to insurance agents around the country involved in advanced planning, law firms, CPA firms, financial planners and sports agents. Jay is a native of Baltimore Maryland, Jay loves exercising, being involved in charitable events, spending time with his old friends but most importantly his wife Joan
Ray Willenberg Jr.
Mr. Willenberg has been in the ﬁnancing world since 1970. Owning his own Mortgage Banking Co for 25 years, then as Chairman of the Board / CEO for a tech startup for 10 years where he raised over 35 million dollars. Now spending the last 7 years helping clients with their Life Insurance needs along with assisting in showing new ways to be philanthropic with their estate. Ray founded San Diego Survivors Rehabilitation Foundation in 1985 a Non-Proﬁt 501c3 and has paid for over 450 Brain Injured patients to have continued rehabilitation after their insurance ran out. The funds assist the patients and give the patients a chance to be productive in their new life again. He runs a charity golf tournament for the last 30 years with his partner Robert DeRose. He currently sits on the Sharp Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors. Ray is also the Managing Partner of Top Secret Productions and Executive Producer of the acclaimed feature ﬁlm “Step into Liquid”. Ray born in San Diego and his wife have been married since 1970 and have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. Ray enjoys Surﬁng, SUP, Golf and being with his grandchildren and most of all helping others.
William Fuess, J.D.
BSEE, MEE, JD all Cornell University, member CA bar and registered US attorney 35 yrs, 30 in private practice. Active as an attorney, and as a co-venturer in a new aquaponics supply business, he is a round-the-world traveler long in Australia, HIGH to the edge of space in Uncle Sam’s jet fighters, and LOW to test depth in his nuclear submarines. Married 30 years, widowed since 2006, no children. Outdoorsman when opportunity presents, but junk collector always.
Lyall has over 30 years’ experience as an entrepreneur, starting his career in 1982 in Scottsdale, AZ with IDS/American Express. 15 years ago he changed his focus to asset protection, wealth accumulation, business preservation and Risk Transfer & Arbitrage for high net worth individuals.
He takes great pride in educating his clients in the art of how money works and believes that in order to make your money work for you, you must understand the fundamentals of personal finance. Lyall’s goal is to help every client implement:

Lyall lives in Colorado with his wife, Tina. They have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He is an avid skier, enjoys golf and his membership in the PCA. He can be found speaking and training at numerous venues across the US each month.
